I think my R is cursed or something. EVERYTHING and anything seems to go wrong with it, here's a rundown or my problems in the past couple of months:

1. Purchased a Mugen header and Exhaust had it installed and needed a spring kit for it: $70
2. While install my cat my O2 sensor was ruined and denied by the shop: $200
3. Purchased ATS final, Exedy Clutch, Toda flywheel and the install was botched:$800 labor
5. The SAME shop that did the ATS disconnected my A/C and acura had to reconnect it: $80
4. Someone backed into my car: $450 to paint the bumper (no yet painted)
5. Purchased Azenis and while installing my rims were slightly scratched: no that big of a deal
6. My car was down for 3 months cause of the tranny problem
7. Repair of the tranny cause the shop denied the problem was their fault (I'm sueing now): $2600
8. Taking a 7 lakes drive run, I got owned by lift off over steer (that was my fault) and I scratched my lip: the front is still getting repainted for someone backing into it
9. My rim JUST got owned by a curb by some jerk cutting me off: estimated 100 to fix or a quick fix for 30.
10. 1 speeding ticket (damn yellow car): Insurance is owning me for this

What gives here, this is in less than 1 year. Is my car cursed or do you guys have bad luck also. THIS is why I wanna sell it to get away from the bad jujus

make sure you take it to a shop that you KNOW will do good work, not just good prices.

Sorry, my CRX has been motorless for several years (similar hard luck story with mechanics and blown motors et al.)

Sometimes it just doesn't pay to try too hard to build it up.
I'm having some consternation as far as my turbo build up, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed ... and am having someone in the know take care of the "details".

na it is not cursed it is just when you mess with a car probs arise and you just have to role with the punches dont let it get u down just sit down one night with your car give her 4 qts a honda filter wash, wax and have a talk with her and let me tell you she will treat u right as long as u do the same works for me

German cars is the same thing difference is. Instead of playing with mechanical stuff, you tend to have more electrical problems.

 

Mine IS cursed.
Bought my car last sept. Since then I've gotten my first ticket, had to replace all four tires right off the bat, shredded a brand new timing belt, and the motor was hydrolocked which resulted in the car being totaled...But i'm buying it back, I DON'T CARE if It IS CURSED...I LOVE IT

 

BMW's have problems as well.

As for my car, ever since March, something has always been wrong... and everytime I get it fixed something else happens.... I need to get these things fixed, but I need my car too much..

 

We all experience it to some degree...those who don't know how to do the work get fucked worse than others. If you don't know how to do anything on your car, and mod the **** out of it, you're going to have problems.

You need good friends that will help you. #1013 gets a lot of love from a lot of HT members who are really cool people.

 

I think I need front bearings and halfshafts.
Then again I haven't replaced those yet and am within 100 miles of 120K.

 

That's a lot of miles Ed, maybe you should get a beater car that you can't mod.
