who sells 2.5" v-band falnges and clamps?
Adam at CRMB has been awesome, but their clamps are not Clampco anymore, and unless you lube them alot with anti-seize they break first shot. I have switched back to ATP turbo, as they still use Clampco.
What's interesting is I've tracked the # of clamp warranty replacements we've sent out, and it was higher with clampco then the current clamps. We have a new supplier we are trying our later this month, hopefully they are even better then the current. As for right now, I'm not particularly fond of anyone's clamps.

Must have been 5 years Ive been buying from you guys. Weird. The only thing I like better is the non-locking nut. So much faster during mock-up.
I never took you up on replacements for the new ones since I am far away. Less hassle to just eat the clamp, and try new ones. I'm assuming flange design is a factor. Clampco just suits my flange design better I guess.

Yeah, I did that long ago after getting my first set that was just flat. Found a local machinist that does what I want, nice job, for the same as the cheap ones. Just have to get 30 sets at once. Vibrant went this way, and I hope most will follow. Far easier to work with and perfect seal. Also makes it so you don't have to really tighten the clamp during mock-up. I get mine made tight enough to stay on their own.
www.extremepsi.com has stainless 2-4" MS in 3" there just vibrant, there pricey though.

Huh. Never realized you guys wouldn't want lock nuts. I should look into stocking regular nuts. I would bet 99% of all the clamp failures are from lock nuts crapping out.
The lipped rings are nice, cost the same to make, but unless your a pro, people overheat and warp those things like crazy then they can't fix them. Biggest problem I've encountered with them.

iv stopped buying the pricey vband clamps.. there expensive and shitty they always strip or just break. Do a google search on "sanitary clamp" you can find them at most any local hydraulic or pipe stores. thicker and just made a heck of lot better.. i can get them local for $9 a piece.
Weirtech welds mine, I have had up to 4" in both aluminum and stainless. Flawless and perfectly straight everytime, I don't know why people would have precision work done by anyone except a 'pro'.

I've never seen any non- lockers fall off. They are under tension anyway. I assumed that was why you got away from them with the current design. I never had any lockers go on me though. Never been in that much of a rush, and I anti-seize everything since those clamps bit me. I have them on and off 5 times before the customer gets them. No failures yet.

Id love to know which clamps were best in 2.5" and 3" sizes, they have a few styles, and if I can just buy a bunch of flanges for 3" and 2.5" pipe that would be sweet!!! Makes alot of projects I have in m head a little more affordable...
Anyone got more info on Sanitary clamps??
Yea iv used them on charge piping before.. a buddy has them on his supra running 38psi and hasnt had any leaking problems.
Im telling you its a lot better.. get you a "vband clamp and go get a sanitary clamp and just compare them...

This is a very good online site to buy from..
prices are great and they get cheaper the more you purchase.
this is the exact clamp that we use.

The 3" is about 60% of a regular clamp price-wise, but they should be cheaper as they are very simple in design. I might try these on the next job just to see how I like them.
