Has anyone ever orderd from this company
I have a harbor freight right next to my house. The power tools are cheaply priced and they give away free stuff all the time! I love this place! Don't exprect the power tools to last forever, but it's a gread deal! I have an engine stand that has been working for me for about 2 years now.
dont buy from them its a waste of money....buy quality tools that have a warranty...it will save you money time and headaches in the future.
Harbor freight is the best option for really cheap tools, and some of their tools are pretty nice, but you do get what you pay for. There are some tools that you can buy cheap, because they are made for basic uses, but i wouldn't trust a torque wrench from harbor freight.

Some people dont have the budget for Snapon, so why not buy from harbor freight, if it breaks take it back. We have had great success with the Harbor Freight Air gun Sockets. Havent broke any in almost a year.
Another option would be to buy tools good quality tools that don't break, but stuff happens and things break, so what do you do in that case?
[QUOTE="NastIE Garage";43918347]We have broke almost every companies sockets (Craftsman, Husky, Snapon ect..)

I have had a lot of problems with craftsman ratcheting wrenches. I keep snapping off the 1/2" or 3/8" drives. I buy from harbor freight tools and haven't had any problems besides the damn batteries for power tools don't hold a charge for very long.

I have been using harbor freight air tools for awhile now. Close to 4 years. I thought they would break after a few months, so I've been throwing them around and abusing them for awhile.. Haven't broke on me yet.
But I do love having Matco and Snap-On tools as well.

i love harbor freight every time i go there for one thing i walk out with like 10 things. Never had a prob with any of there items but of course like said above torque wrenches and any other tools that need precision i would spend the extra loot for peace of mind.
some of the snap-on and matco quality tools are just absolutely ridiculously over priced but i cant help but buy them even if harbor freight tools are not all quality i keep several of them because of the warranty and just because snap-on and others want to much.
i did buy a drill that lasted about 2 mins tho just traded it in for another 1

I've been using harbor freight tools for a long long time.. Like others have mentioned i dont have a budget for Snap On, MAC, or other major brands. I have used there impact sockets for years now and i havent broke one. I do use breaker bars with there sockets and ratchets and still havent broke one. I have snapped one of there breaker bars but what wouldnt break with a 5 ft pole attached to the 2 foot handle .. I recommend there tools thet do honor there warranty .. its no different then braking craftsman and still having to drive to sears and get a replacement. Speaking of i have 2 craftsman ratchets that are destroyed that need to go back lol
I bought a bunch of tools from Harbor Frieght and the only thing I was displeased with was their allen wrenches. The SAE set doesn't fit correctly so they're all basically junk. Everything else, like the engine stands, engine hoist, bench grinder, solvent tank, low profile floor jack, etc, etc, etc, have worked great. I've even found their micrometers to be pretty decent.
they are cheaper and low grade, but that doesnt mean you cant use them. just dont expect miracles.
they run awesome sales and you can grab coupons out of magazines and in the flyer. you come away with a bunch of stuff for cheap.
my friends and i chipped in 3 ways on a 20 ton press. list price was in the mid 200 range, we got it for 180/3 = 60 bucks each. at that price it pays for itself after one use. it did break on us pressing a pin out of my friends backhoe boom, but i rewelded the broken part and its good to go.
i also use their floorjacks. i got a 19.5" lift 4000 lb jack for like 80 bucks. i did manage to bend one of their breaker bars in a perfect halfmoon on its first use though.
moral is buy smart there, i wouldnt buy a welder there personally, but id have no issue getting jackstands or a ruler
