vibration
I have a 2008 LX 2 door and have developed a vibration in the rear. When the tires are cold the back jumps like a tire out of round then lessens in severity as the tires warm up but never goes away. Rotated the tires and no change. Bought new Continental tires early at 25k miles and still have vibration. Dealer roadforce balanced the new tires and said all is well. NOT. Still the same. Dealer then said rear wheels were out of round and put new ones on and said all is well. NOT. Anyone have any ideas waht the real problen could be and should I expect to get some of my $300 back that the dealer stole from me so far. Thanks for any help. JD

When you have a bump when the tires are cold it is usually because the nylon in to cord inside the tire flat spots, but as you drive it go's away as the tire warms up.
Have you tried tires and wheels from another car? it may be you just got lucky and got more bad tires it's not unheard of.
You might want to look closely at the rear hubs, it could be one is bent causing a wobble feeling like an unbalanced tire.

Dealer is blowing smoke - he says he has such vast experience and knowledge that he has seen this before - people put on replacement tires with such a hard compound and since the back suspension on a front drive car is so light this can set up oscillations and vibrations. In his defense he has offered to put on original equipment tires and prove his theory but either way I am not spending $500 on more tires after just buying new tires. He also has no explanation why this problem started with the original tires. I might take him up on his offer to try the other tires temporarily just for my own amusement and listen to the excuses as to why there is still a problem
I think the best bet would be to find someone with no vibrations to swap wheels and tires with and see if you can get there car to vibrate like yours, then you know to look elsewhere.
If it's a honda dealer that should be no problem and take only a few min.
If you were here in NE Pa. I would swap with my wheels, I'm running hard Michelin's that are not even balanced and I have no vibrations at all

I finally got frustrated enough with this problem that I got rid of this car! Have to stress that the people at Saratoga Honda have no clue what they are doing! Stay away from this dealer!!
