2006 Honda Civic Si Parking Brake Cover
I bought a used 06 Si and the silver paint on the parking brake handle cover has been scratched up pretty bad. I know I can buy a new cover to replace but how do I remove the old one? I can't find any screws or places where it snaps in. Does anyone know how to remove just the handle cover of the parking brake?
Remove the shift **** snd pull up on the part that holds the boot, be careful if you stick a small screwdriver under the boot plastic it will dent easy and show.
Use something wide and thin to help you lift the boot surround (putty knife) and the other parts just pull up and out.
You need to unloosen the jamb nut under the shift **** to twist the shift **** off.

Thanks, but I am actually talking about the parking brake not the shifter. Although I do need to change the shift boot as well. Any ideas on the parking brake handle cover?
I had my cover off a few times lubing the shifter and touching up the boot where the coating came off, at first I thought there were hidden screws but it just all pulls apart.
Good time to lube the shifter while your in there.
