Rebuild the transmission, buy a new remanufactured unit, or live without reverse because that's the only way you'll get it in.
Search is your friend...it's a known fact that at around 95,000 miles your Preludes 5-speed transmission will fail you like that. Mine just did that about 4 weeks ago so I spent the extra money on adding a helical LSD. Get ready to fork out some $$$ if you can't do the rebuild yourself.
Maybe VTAK kicked in during your losing race against an M3.

I did buy a blown M2B4 from a user here on honda tech ran it for 1300 miles and would get random 2nd gear grinds so i pulled it apart and it looked like a someone purposefully drove it with no fluid so back in the stocker went... and its 100 percent fine STILL to this day.
OP check the basics first, Fluid cables, etc if you cant find and issue with those it may be time for you to replace.. and learn how to shift!! Just kidding
Unfortunately, it's not a fabrication. Good for you if it hasn't happened to your car though. The link from Darkestfenix is the one I would have posted but it is not the only one out there. I bought my Prelude used with about 40,000 on the ticker back in '06 and even then it already had a slight reverse grind that I could never do anything about. Fluid changes, varying my clutch techniques, etc had no impact at all. I let it go and figured I'd deal with it as I drove and it took 56,000 miles more before it finally went out on me. The day reverse finally just disappeared, my car was in a Honda dealers parking lot while I was inside at the parts counter purchasing new crush rings and Honda manual transmission fluid to do another oil change on it. The irony was not lost on me at the time. Meanwhile, all forward gears were still 100% functional and smooth as silk on shifting with no popping out, clunks, or grinds.

I went with a full remanufactured unit from an H-T site sponsor Synchrotech. The unit was ~$1,200 + $300 refundable core (which I am still waiting for). For another $650 put in a helical LSD and didn't charge any extra for cracking the tranny open and installing it with proper preload & all that fun stuff. They're in California so it took me about a week to get it without having to pay incredibly high shipping costs. Standard ground is $150 (but that does cover return shipping of the core) so the wait for me was fine.
Even if you do search Ebay you'll likely find him selling on there too....same price, same service. Look up Synchrotech here on H-T and you'll see nothing but glowing reviews. I'll leave the same feedback once I put some more miles on everything.

edit: I know the link says $500 deposit but when I called they told me $300 and that's all I was invoiced for.
well the 5 synchro sleeve was all grind up and rounded but, i try replace the 5th synchro sleeve but still nothing, reverse still got engaging and still the same, i just bought a use tranny for $200 and now it's in my car and running and everything work, but the tranny that im working on rite now had LSD it's a M2B4 and the one i just bought is a M2F4 NON-LSD, i want to keep the LSD,
do anyone thinks it's a good idea to swap out the reverse or swap out everuthing? LMK thanks

your better off putting your gears that you have in your m2b4 but you have to be careful that the case closes right or else there goes another tranny....I have m2y4 gear set in a m2b4 cases..
Gotta love those Slow-vic guys.
