Default fuses keep blowin...

im hookin up an amp and everytime i go to hook the power up to it, it blows the 2 fuse on the amp...i have everything hooked up besides the negative side of the battery...as soon as i hook it up it blows the fuses...any ideas why? thanks in advance..

Verify you don't have a short on your wire running from the battery to the amp. Completely remove the wire and lay it outside of the car or on top of the carpet. Try it then. If it still blows the fuse while the key is out of the ignition you probably have a bad amp. If it blows a fuse with the key in, check your remote wire for the same problem. Something may have been pinched under a panel or where the wire runs under the back seat.
