Symptoms of leakins injector/loose valves?
Car is 1996 4th gen Prelude with a JDM H22a converted to USDM OBDII with an OBDII USDM P13 computer. To my knowledge all of the emissions and electronics are in proper order (I did the swap summer 2009).
So i've still been trying to figure out the issue im having with COde po172 -- system too rich bank 1. I went through the manual and conducted the trouble shooting procedure and so far all I have left to do is a valve gap adjustment (waiting on the tool to get here) and finally checking the injectors.
Before I go through all the trouble of pulling that stuff apart, I was wondering if anyone else has ever had that same problem? The check engine light has been on for a while, but the other day it went off when I was driving on the highway for like 30 min. Light stayed off for 3-4 days and now its back on with the same code.
Has anyone ever had loose valves of bad injectors cause this code?

No, they are the correct injectors. I talked to a "tech" at a couple shops and asked for other things to check other than what I had already done and they, along with the PDF manual I have, suggested that could cause the problem.
I recently re-read the MIL code and it said code 12 (i followed the directions in the PDF manual to read the MIL codes) which is a prob with the EGR system. I need to get a volt meter and a day off to run the procedures for checking EGR system, similar to what I did with the EVAP system.

Clogged ports were something that a friend mentioned could be a problem. Im hoping its not that bc the job sounds like a PITA with the motor in the car.
