carbon fiber hood question... need help!
aight, so i bought my itr and it came w/ a carbon fiber hood. it wasn't installed when i picked it up. but the guy said that it has been installed before and fits good. well, i tried to put it on this afternoon and one side sits closer to the fender than the other side. my friend who has a c.f. hood on his g2 teg said that you can just loosen up the screws and adjust it. i tried to do that, but it doesn't really move any at all. here's some pics...
thanks in advace for any help! or if there's anyone nearby that wants to come over and give me a hand, that would be great!
also gotta install the hood pins!

yeah u gotta adjust it. that gap is really really big right now. if you can't do it, bring it to a body shop and they'll fix it up.
btw, don't get hoodpins. get the hoodlocks. basically their hoodpins, but they're locks.

give it to me and forget the whole thing ever happened
i tried to adjust it to get rid of the gap, but it doesn't really move either way.
any info on exactly how to adjust it?
Loosen all the bolts and try messing around with the hood until it fits the way you want it. If that doesn't work you can use a dremel type tool to make the screw holes on the latch of the car bigger to allow more room for movement.
if you can't make it sit straight with the factory bolts, i guarantee a local body shop will be happy to help you out, wouldnt be expensive at all i think....

awww man now I am not so sure about getting a hood if it is so much trouble. Please post some pix of your car when you get it fix. I have a white integra too and would like to see how your car will come out looking. TIA
i had the same problem when i had my jdm front installed. what u have to do is make the holes where u bolt up the hood to the hodd latches bigger. meaning u have to drill them out a little. that defiently should do it.
BTW what kind of hood is that? it looks like a VIS but it could be a Fiber images.
if its a fiber images get rid of it. Thats just my opinion but all the ones ive seen look like crap and never seem to fit right,.

Adjust the hood latch as best as you can. When I first had my FI hood it sorta looked like that. I adjusted the hell out of everything to make it fit good. Try adjusting the little rubber stub things up and down on each side or the radiator support(dont know the real name). I would also pick up a stock rubber gasket. The one that goes around the front edge. If you hood doesnt have holes for it, just epoxy it on. Th gasket will make it look 10x better and keep water from coming into you engine bay when it rains.
Here is how my old hood looked.

I meant your Type R with the new CF hood, but the Civic will work too. (He's giving me a ride, since Pat = no car)
