DROPZONE GEN II Shocks and Coilovers
Ebay has some of these with your choice of either 4 shocks and 4 springs, or 4 shocks and 4 coilover sleeves. But my question is how is the ride quality. It will be going on a db8. But i am leaning towards the package with the coilover sleeves just so i can adjust my height to fit my 16 wheels. I use my car for DD, not really concerned with racing, autoXing or anything like that just looks.

hey, about 2 years ago i bought those shocks and coilover combo. although i never planned to install the coilovers because i had h&r sportsprings in my room..but i installed the shocks sold the coilovers and there still being used to this day without a problem to my knowledge..and the shocks worked fine and served there purpose and are still on the car and will remain on there for another 15000 km next summer..only thing i can say is the springs didnt seat ERFECTLY on the shock but everything ironed out once it was on the car..rides fine cant complain honestly..plus lifetime warranty..why not?..estimated total mileage on these shocks id say about 30000km so far
Hey man thanks alot for responding. I know alot of people were saying dont get them because they are bouncy, but that could just be the springs. What kind of springs do you have? I have 16 in rims and was considering a coilover sleeves so i can adjust the car to proper height. What springs would you recommend that would make the top of the fender flush with the wheel?
I never used them but my friend had some on his 93 integra. A little over a year after having them, one of them cracked on the sleeve. But I did ride in his car many times with them before they were cracked and the ride was OK. Handled pretty good for the street.
I posted before that these were good for the money, took my suspension off about a 3 weeks ago and my right rear one was completely blown out, ive had them for almost two years and thats been the only problem ( still under warranty though ) they USED to ride good!
I have a set with TANABE GF210... In my opinion. I would get a better quality Shock with springs. You say your not into racing & it's just a D.D., springs are very low maintenance, Coilovers will always need adjusting & realignment.
A good set of springs with quality shocks is the way... believe me. Don't have money save.. save.
Bout to get Tokico Illumima 5 way adj. should of gotten those in the first place. The Dropzone are blown less than year. had some ebay coilovers for DD the worst mistake I have ever done to my car. I tried just to see and ended up losing MONEY.

I have experience with Drop Zone struts and springs, but not on an import. We put a set of these on a friends Pontiac Grand Prix. They were and advertised 1.5 to 2" drop. Wasn't there. Maybe an inch at best. Ride quality? STIFF AS HELL! He had 18"s with a 225/40R18 and it would beat your kidneys to death. It reminded me of the old days riding on cut springs.
They may be better on a lighter weight car, but I doubt it.
Good luck, and hope I've helped.

What about their Dropzone springs. told to give about a 2inch drop in the front ans 2.25 in drop in the rear. I have a 4 door integra with 16inch Jmags. I dont really want it slammed, but just do want a finger gap. I want everything flush. Is the quoted drop too low or just perfect for 16's?

A lighter car will ride stiffer on the same spring rate as compared to a heavier car. Think of an empty wheelbarrow vs. a full one.
As for coilovers always needing adjusting, um no. You adjust it to where you like it, get the car aligned, and forget about it. If you're always jacking around with them then yeah, sure you'll keep needing alignments to keep from chewing up tires. But if you get it where you like it and leave it there, it won't need adjusting or realignment any more than you would with regular shocks and springs.

THIS TO ALL OF HONDA TECH PEOPLE CONSIDERING DROPZONE COiLOvERS they are trash but the shocks are PERFEcT. I have had nothing but a bouncy *** RIDE!! The springs are straight garbage. Save your money or put some good springs on the shocks!
thats what i keep saying hereing the shock r good but the spring and coilover r ****, so im buy the shock but im going to buy the tien 3.5" spring they r dump stiff
Your grammar is junk. It's hard to tell what you're trying to say.
You CAN NOT put lowering springs on coilovers. PERIOD.
