i have just finished my b20/vtec 4 door teg. with that said its time for a road tune. im wondering what my revlimiter should be set at, and what is a good point to set my launch limiter at.

Id set the rev limiter about 500-700 rpms past peak hp. I dont see an advantage to winding out the motor if its not making power, but theres different opinions on this.
Launch control will need to be set at the track. Depending on what tires you run,pressures, and track/street condition, it will probably be a trial and error thing.

i have higher compression and i didnt wanna go ***** out, and blow it.. i have alot invested in this all motor project and its gonna be a fun daily/scca whip. plus im using 93/94 pump gas.. so i didnt wanna go up past that.
i feel like dyno tunes are good but not as accurate in a way.. i mean there amazing but if you think about it its like training to run a marathon on a tread mill not takin it to the streets and feeling the real hills, rocks etc.. i dunno maybe im wrong but to me a road tune u hit unexpected hills, turns etc and different condidtions and u have ato adapt the tune to that.. am i wrong?

Loaded dyno's can simulate any sort of driving scenario and tune for it. Why "fully build" (as opposed to "half build"? I never understood that.) an engine, and then NOT put it on the dyno so that it can reach its full potential?
Gotta dyno tune it. Pretty much the only way to find MBT..
And its kinda hard to tune the part throttle unless you ride the brake or find a reaaally long hill and have cordination like a ****!

I agree with the statement that limiter should be set about 5-700 Rpms above max power. Depending on gearing, ideally, when you shift 5-700 rpms past peak power, your rpms drop below your peak power so that you will come across your peak power point again in the next gear. Gearing is an important aspect of shift points. Your rod bolts, bearing clearances, rotating assembly weight, rod strength/material, and valve spring capacity are the most important deciding factors on whether you can safely rev higher.
