ive done f22b dohc swaps and such but ive run into a problem ....i cant find a waterpump that fits into it...anyone have any idea which one goes in

 

F22A should fit

 

correct any f22a such as a 90-93 accord, or even 94-97 should work.......Could try a h series like a h22 or h23 but im not to sure if they would work.....I think they do have the same block though besides bore and stroke

 

its for a friend and from what hes sayin the f22a one is not fitting i will have to go see this weekend...thanks for the input thats what i thought that the f22a one would work

 

try one from a h series motor, if that doesnt work then look up exactly what car the f22b dohc came out of and get a waterpump

 

its a jdm prelude si engine....a little hard to find a part for it

 

i know how u feel i have a hard time finding part numbers for my jdm h22a....Good luck and hope u find one to fit soon....

 

I know you don't want hear this. But you have to get a water pump for that motor from Japan. There is no water pump/ timing belt combo here for it in the states. The F22a sohc water does bolt bolt up, but you will never get the timing belt on it because the gear has 20 teeth as opposed to the water pump that comes with motor which has 19 teeth on the gear.

 

yo ive heard from alot of people and even found a few members who have used a f22a pump on the f22b, me and my buddy have that same swap obd2 version....here is a link that might help more

the timing belt i found a Chrysler one that does fit so ill have to see if it fits around the water pump....thanks for your honesty though i will find the japan one i need

 

try the dohc h23a non-vtec one, its the usdm version of the dohc f22b

 

Yeah I used the Chrysler timing belt too. I believe it was for 1988 Dodge Caravan.

 

i also used the 1988 dodge caravan 2.5 ltr sohc timing belt for my f22b dohc (jdm, non v-tec) engine!! all was well until i got to the water pump, cant find the pump, the accord pump bolts on but the gear's(pulley) diameter is bigger than the original one in the engine and the accord has an extra tooth the f22b dohc water pump comes with 19 teeth accord has 20 but i dont think thats a problem because its a free spinning gear the problem is diameter!!! does anyone with knowledge on the f22b dohc (jdm) engine know which water pump to use with what belt ? i heard h23 water pump with h23 timing belt will work ?
