Hey HT
Quick question.
What axles will fit the k20 in a dc2 chasie. Do they have to be custom or you can use oem axles of another car like a 02-05 Civic Si or RSX-S axles with outer joint of a 94-01 tegie or i read that SI coupe outers will work asweel. Just need some one to confirm if it will work and be reliable.
thanks

Also if you have any questions look around k20a.org. I've found tons of threads there with a lot of info on this swap and others.

I used Hasport and DSS custom axles but the base rsx and ep3 axles should work fine as they have the 32mm outers.

RSX-S Axles and swap Integra OUTERS.
If you have the 36mm JDM 5lug you can use RSX-S axles (they are 36mm)

^ do what he did and get the tsx motor. there will be room for updates in the future if you want to boost or NA build.

Thanks.....will be doing type s axles with integra outers
Thanks guys
DC5-R axles are actually the longest OEM K axles out of the K family axles. The longer axles have something to do with the knuckle changes for the big Brembo brakes DC5R's come with.
Other than that, outer and inner joints are the same as Type-S.
U need type-s axles(36mm)

EP3 Driver side as-is, is fine to use.
EP3 Passenger side axle shaft as-is, is WAY too short (even compared to base RSX pass.side axle). I know this first hand all too well. My EP3 pass.side axle blew apart on me when testing these out on a test drive. The inner boot is mad stretched and when the torque of quick acceleration takes affect, the axle pulls itself out of the inner joint cup ripping the inner boot, grease and tripod bearings everywhere.... AAA on speed dial lol. This was many years ago btw.
I haven't confirmed if swapping the inner joints (which forces you to run the EP3 passenger side axle on the driver side and vice versa); but this might be a solution for EP3 axle use for Kswaps in legacy chassis's. I'd steer clear of using the EP3 passenger side axle as is tho. Its only useful for the inner and outer joints w/the tripod bearings. The shaft length is terrible for k-swap use.
