what b18c1 parts to keep
alright guys gonna try to keep this short. I have just rebuilt an ls vtec. Its in the car, but not complete. I need an obd1 dizzy and gotta figure out the wiring and some other smaller stuff.
So in my hunt for a dizzy I couldn't find any in my area. So I found a 95 b18c1 motor that ran when before being pulled out of the car. It is complete with everything and all the accesories for only $150! yea what a steal. The head is good. I don't have it in my possession yet so I can't get too happy, but I already talked to the guy about it.
Ideally I would rather rebuild this than use my lsvtec, but I've gotta get my car out of the garage and the lsvtec already has forged internals so its not possible right now. Im gonna use the dizzy off the gsr and im gonna keep the head for sure. What else should I use/or keep? The rest of the stuff I will probably sell? the motor has 200k so there are certain things im not gonna use.

yea dude its a steal and technically it would still run, but has low compression on 1 cylinder. Im almost thinking to keep the whole thing. and slowly build it. maybe Il build the b18c1 for as an NA motor since my lsvtec is built for boost.....
Anyways even if I do part it out what should I keep....also is the crank pulley off a c1 and a b18a1 the same? I have an aftermarket crank pulley and would like to go back to stock if it is the same

Hell yea got the motor. It is more than complete. Has alt, power steering, ac pump, intake, part of the wiring harness.....everything. Im stoked

lol. thats why I said it had low compression in cylinder one. It had a leak down test done and the air goes into the oil pan. so either rings or possibly a jacked up cylinder, but most daily driver cars that haven't been ran hard lean toward bad rings.
so in saying that you would have to tear down and rebuild the motor..........aww **** just realized I didn't mention anything about no compression in 1 cylinder
