Default A/C belt yes or no

IF you cut your ac belt does it give you more power? Is it possible? Which one is It??

It frees up a little more power, but you don't need to cut it..You need to get a smaller one to connect from your alternator to your crank pulley

And this belt will work with 5th gens who dont have AC? I'm hoping, cause I havent been able to find a belt that will work, but I think it was just Napa's dumb *** counter person.

auctually it may not be the napa guy. When i went to go pick it up they said they just changed the part number for the belt so im not sure if that one is the old or new number ill try to find the label. but that number was on my reciept 8/12/02

If you take off the belt why not just take out the entire AC system.... compressor, piping, ect.

When your AC is off, that belt is driving nothing but a little pully. It might take 0.000001 HP to run that little pully. It's when U turn on your AC, that that belt is driving the compressor for the AC. Just don't race with your AC on! Now if ya want to make the car lighter, then by all means take out the hole AC system.

not when you live in texas, you gotta have ac. 2 summers ago when it was hitting 110 + at the end of august my ac was out. never again
