Heres the 2 email replies I got when requesting location/more info:
"Hello,
I am selling the car because my unit has been mobilized for deployment to Afghanistan , and don't want it to rust in my garage. After we complete our training, we will deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The price is low because I need to sell it before October 29th.Paint shines, no dings/dents, no accident. Non-smoker,always garaged and covered. It comes with all the documents needed for registration .
Please get back to me if you're interested in buying it. Thanks"
"Hey,
I am in a military base now ,we are training. Like i told you, after we complete our training, we will deploy to Afghanistan . I am only allowed to check my email
twice a day. I hope you can understand that we will have to talk only by email for now. Being in the army has some advantages, can ship it very cheap with DAS. I will pay the shipping charges. I think that can arrive to your address in 5-7 working days. I am a member of the ebay buyer protection program and using this service you will get a 7 days testing period after delivery. I need to know if you are interested in buying it so I can ask eBay to send you the details on how this works. If interested please include in your next email your contact info for ebay (name, address and #) so we can get things started."

too many kids fall for these scams. the most popular are passing base model parts as itr. there are guys who will tell you a s80 transmission is always itr. well...it CAN be, but also as we all know, ls, gsr as well. cams, same thing. my other favorite is the jdm itr engine is suppose to be b18c-R as in that's stamped in the block. i had some kid actually ask me where i got my "jdm gsr" engine. i asked how he knew it was that and he said there's no R after the b18c. i asked him if he really thought i would switch the head to a pr3 and find a p73 manifold. kid then scratches his head and walks off. this stuff is never ending....
I don't have pity for downright stupidity but I truly can never understand what kind of person can actually scam people like this. Hell for all we know its a member on this bored or our best friend. Normally, I feel like their always form another country or somethings (based on grammar, wording, etc.) but this scammer's english is to good. It terrible either way but someone on our own soil doing this just sucks.
well a person like this is actually quite easy to understand. first they put their needs above others, second they convince themselves that laws don't apply to them and the other person deserves what they get. once you operate in selfish mode long enough and feel what you want out weighs general moral behavior it's not hard to start this sort of thing. the same type of thinking is why people steal cars, sell drugs, f'k 14yr old girls, list goes on and on. each time you put your wants above others and act in a manner that benefits just you.
it's real easy to avoid if you try. no matter what you do, ask yourself what it would be like if the whole world did what you're about to do. if the outcome is bad, you probably shouldn't be doing it, if it's good, continue on.
