i got some fogs on my EF. and they were working fine until i started messing around with the switches. then they just stopped working. i thought it was the switch at first cuz theres power coming out of the wire and its grounded but the switch doesnt even light up and i got a new one. so idk what it is???? anybody know. could it be the bulbs.

 

check your fuses guy what ever wired them into check the fuse

 

Have you even tried checking the fuse? Or even running the fogs them selves to the battery to see if they light up?

 

try the battery thing like crx si-r said. my buddy had the same thing happen except his bulb wasnt making good enough contact to light up.

 

yehhh my fuses are fine.all my connections are fine. i havnt tried the battery-fogs thing. but i dont think its that cuz my switch isn't even lighting up.

 

Mine did the same thing check your all your fuses again and ground

 

Are your using a non oem fog light kit that comes with the red light up switch? If you are then I know those come with crappy wires. Make sure the fog lights are both connected to the single wire that runs to the switch. It's normally like a "Y" set up. Then check each fog light ground wire. On your switch check the 3 wires that connects to it. You have the ground that lights up the switch(you don't have to use it, it only lights the switch up. Then you have one wire that runs to the fuse box for power. Last you have the wire that comes from the lights to the switch. Make sure all of those are on the right spot on the switch.

 

yehhh its the red switch. now i double checked all my wires and there good. cold it be the relay that ****ed up???

 

is it possible that when i was messing around with different foglight switches i could of hooked em up wrong and blew out my bulbs without knowing???

 

blown out - probably not. but i'd double check that all three wires are hooked up correctly.

 

I would hook the bulbs directly to a power source to make sure they work.

 

oright i tested the light bulbs and they turned on. so its not the bulbs or the switch or fuses. it has to be a bad connection somewhere. imma try and rewire the whole dam thing.

 

do u have a relay wired in? check to see if its working

 

okay finally figured out what was wrong. the power wire that goes to the switch wasn't connected to a spot where it had power.
but now idk wheres a good spot to hook it up.
would it be safe to stick it into one of the fuses on the fusebox???
