Default Daily Driven turbo teg 12.8@116

On saturday, I decided to take my daily driven turbo integra to the track for some street tire fun. I didn't bother attempting to acquire slicks as I wanted to hit my goal of 12s on street tires in full street trim (i.e. ran in the exact trim I drive it every day). After struggling with traction issues and shaking some cob webs off my driver mod(hadn't been down the track in 3 years) I was finally able to bust into the 12s with a 12.87@116mph with a crap tastic 2.25 60 foot.

Setup
1995 integra, weight is about 2750 with my fat *** in it
205/50/15 falken ziex tires (18lbs in them)
stock b17 with arp head studs
ITS 62-1 on 13llbs
power is right around 350whp/250wtq
gsr trans

I didn't try again after that pass, as I was happy to finally hit 12s and wanted to give my worn out synchros and stock engine a break.

I have an 81.5mm piston/rod GSR waiting to go in this car, a long with replacing the old 62-1 with a brand new 6176. Hopefully with some more power(shooting for 500ish), boost by gear, better suspension(its only on lowering springs now) and maybe a tad stickier street tires I can hit my new goal of 11s on street tires.

Not bad. I just took my teg out and ran a 13.6 @ 116 on some all season crap tires. 2.3 60' lol

Only got one run in before the rain. Slicks and 11's next year

11's on street tires means you need to pull a lot of time out of your eighth... That's a tall order on street tires.

Yeah 11's on street tires is difficult. Judging by your trap speed I don't think you have the power. Check out gringo's thread. He finally hit 11's on street tires but had to trap over 130 and go 1.95 60' to do it. On slicks he ran a 10.6 or so. He's got about 500whp and a 6262

This... The issue is not in the 60ft, its the 330 or mainly when my car his 2nd gear.. there is no traction at all.. Feathering it makes it slower, letting it spin makes it faster.. If i could lower the power in 2nd gear i think it would pick up some ET...need some boost by gear but im cheap lol.. i dead hook 3rd gear at the track...

Ive been 7.9@102 on street tires in the 1/8th and like i said i really think if i got some boost control in 2nd it would drop some ET!

OP what tires did you have? size?

205/50/15 falken ziexs

I'll have it set up on boost by gear when it makes more power.

Get some 225-50-15 drag radials and go practice. I was able to pull 1.8's 60' , 5.00 330', and 7.70 @ 94 on them and I am in the low 300's hp.

Maybe im ****ed up or something, but what fun is it spinning down the track? All that power wasted....Why not put a real tire on the car and run 11's with what you got now? 500whp on your new setup would be easy 10's... sounds like more fun to me.. no?

I dont know about you, but its a pain in the *** to drive to the track jack up the car, take the wheels off, jack up the coilovers, put the slicks on.. run some runs and then do it all over again.. then go home.. Its so much easier to drive in and drive out like it was nothing... i only spin 1st and 2nd at the track and make almost 200whp more than OP..

This is true, I like the idea of being able to drive in, tech in, run, go home.

But the car will also be ran on a set of slicks in the future. I'm just going to also take a stab at 11s on street tires

The b17 lost a valve yesterday, so now I'm going to throw the new piston/rod block in with a new head and the 6176 this week.

Can't wait to test out the new stuff and get a new set of tires under it (current ones are balding on the inside due to previous camber issues that were recently fixed)

It does suck, but I'm just glad the block wasn't destroyed because I was borrowing it from mr. J-k-tunez himself, John kerr. Now the head on the other hand.....

I'll start the rebuilding process tomorrow, pics shall follow.

What tires did u do 11s on? Neogens?

If anyone is interested in a ball bearing ITS 62-1 with some shaft play, let me know

Not to hijack, but I've been wanting to do the same exact thing on my boosted daily driver. How do they hookup on the street? track? any time slips you might have?

i love the stuffed look.
