EP3 better stop and go traffic performance...
So, I've had this Jackson Racing "race" supercharger sitting for about 6 months. Well, I FINALLY got motivated enough to put it on. Unfortunetly I dont have any numbers or even a test drive yet, as Im waiting for my ecu to get back from Hondata.

Install was pretty straight forward. I couldve probably got it done in about 4-5 hours, but I spent like 2 hours dicking with a "modified" rsx tensioner that wasnt "modified" enough. So, I had to take the motor mount and bracket off. So I said "F it" and just used the jackson tensioner. [crosses fingers] There are also 2 bolts on the bottom of the manifold that are about impossible to get to. I just need to get a 1/4 drive wobble to get one, the other im hoping I can get on a lift at work. The kit was also used so I had to make a couple of trips to the hardware store for some bolts.
AAAAANNNNNNDDDDDD! You cant just add the go without adding the stop...
So, I took Wilwood up on their offer they have been advertising in Honda Tuning and bought a set of their Dynalite brake upgrade kits. 12.1 2 piece rotors, 4 pistons calipers, pads, brackets, and SS lines for $530 shipper. CANT BEAT THAT WITH A STICK!! The sad thing is, you pull a caliper out of the box and get all excited... until you set it on the rotor and suddenly those massive calipers look tiny. lol

I prepped the night before and torqued and safety wired the rotors together. Again, it was very straight forward. The instructions we a tad lacking, but if you can look at an exploded drawing. Its a piece of cake. NEEDLESS to say theyre HUGE! So big they actually hit my 16 inch curcuit 10s... I used 1/16 inch thick washers to get the clearance I needed, because the caliper was hitting the spokes of the wheel. I guess I need to start looking for new winter wheels...
I got my EP3 for $5500 and it came with Comptech Air box, CT strut bar, CT sway bar with links, Tien basic coilovers, 90k miles. I bought the wheels/tires for $700ish, the brakes ($530) and supercharger ($1800). I feel like I have a nice and very well rounded car for not that much money.

Nice build man. Post back when you get some numbers.
Where the hell did your order that brake package for $530?? Do you have a link??

just tell them your interested in their dynalite brake package they have advertised in Honda Tuning for $499 + shipping. dont forget to ask about the stainless lines too.
they sell direct and ship them in about 5 days. the deal is only good til the end of the year, so dont wait too long if you want them.
ALSO, they are NOT just for the ep3 or rsx. they are selling almost all their honda kits for that price.
alright, sooo i dyno'd and check a/f onmy car after work tonight.
air fuel was spot on, starting in the mid 12s on initial tip in and trickling down to the high 11s up top.
too bad the numbers werent what i was hoping for. it only ended up making 165whp and 148tq. shy of my goal of 200... i was thinking even at the worst it would make 180whp. i guess i need to get a boost gauge on it and monitor boost and make sure its not falling off up top. since typically a superchargerd car continues makes power as high as you rev it, mine peaked around 7000rpm and fell down.
i knew going into it my car wouldnt make the 227 claimed by jackson racing, but i was thinking 200 was possible. the only additional parts their car had was a 2.5 exhaust and a dc header. the factory ep3 header is tubular and should flow ok. BUT, i have read the stock "b" pipe and resonator are very restrictive.
so, the next plan is megan racing b pipe, and cheap ebay header.

Those numbers seem really low, even with a restrictive exhaust. I'd perform a compression test and make sure the engine is healthy. Are you sure you don't have any boost leaks? You can read boost levels in Hondata without having a boost gauge.
Were those numbers on a dyno-jet or a dynapack?
Also thanks for the info about the brakes

as far as boost, i just need to throw a gauge on it and watch it.
it is dyno'd on a dynojet 224.
