what other tune can i get besides hondata?
current engine and mods are
b16a
hps intake
dc header
apexi exhaust
skunk2 im
blox 68mm throttle body
blox type c cams/s2 valve train
je pistons 11:5:1
eagle rods
b&m fuel pressure regulator
aem wideband
im about to put my engine back in the car because it was just freshly built, and i want the car to have a decent tune but dont have the money for hondata so im looking into something else, maybe chrome or neptune? also has anybody ever heard of xenocron tuning ? i guess you send them your ecu with your list of mods and the tune it for you on a basemap and send it back to you. would this be a decent tune or am i wasteing my time with it ? heres the website feel free to look it over http://www.xenocron.com/ecu-chipping-service-p-51.html

You have many options other than Hondata.. (However Hondata is excellent if you can gather the funds) Crome, Neptune, etc..
Xenocron offers chipped OBD1 ECU's with a custom basemap for your engine setup just as does Phearable (HT user mtber), and HA Motorsports (us - HT username HAMOTORSPORTS)
All of the forementioned ECU's will be able to get you running, however you should get your car tuned (on a dyno). Your best bet is to use whatever tuning program your tuner recommends...

1. Go to hrtuning.com / eCtune.com
2. Find a local tuner that tunes neptune or ectune chip version
3. Get your self a chipped ecu for your vehicle.
4. Setup a tuning appointment & have the car dyno tuned.
That would be the "cheapest" solution.

this is to hamotorsports , with all the extra airflow thats going to my engine now its making me run VERY lean. would the basemap cure this problem or is hondata a must?
A basemap is just so you can start your car or baby it to your tuner if its your only way of transporting it there. A tune is a must. Hondata is not a must its an option. Like stated above there are other options. I myself like Neptune
Hondata isn't a must, a proper tune is a must. You can use any of the previously mentioned hardware/software as engine management, but the car must be tuned correctly with this new engine management before it will run safely and strong.
