The bolt holding my auto tensioner pulley broke off. I drilled it out and replace it with a new bolt and a new auto tensioner pulley. Less than a month later it broke off again. Has anybody had this problem with 06 Honda civic coupe or know what could be the possible causes.

 

Did you use the same grade bolt or stronger one when you replaced it?

Try using a grade 8 bolt.

Almost anyplace that sells bolts, auto stores, lowes, home depot, just get what you had in a grade 8.

 

yes a lot of people have this problem with 06+ civics considering theres a recall on it lol

 

yes there is a recall on it, and if I am not wrong, the TSB says to replace the block if there's a problem with the bolt

 

Needs a new block, cant drill and tap aluminum
