Sportmaxx tire rubbing problem on EJ8?
I was thinking of getting some sportmaxx 501's for my EJ8. I was wondering if there would be any rubbing issue due to it being 15x7. Tire size will be 195-50. Let me know. Thanks
If your EJ8 is any '97-00 Civic, 195/50-15 is too small; you should be using 205/50-15 or 195/55-15. This also applies to the '96 but not the hatchback or DX models; the hatchback and DX take 195/50-15.
Any of these sizes can be mounted on 15x7 wheels, but 15x8 is too wide for any of them.

^Agreed. And a +15 offset will look like trash on a stock height Civic. Especially with stretched 195/50's. Do more research and find a safe wheel/tire combo.
i realy want to know if i can put 15x8 on my 91 honda crx and if so what mods do i have to do and ,what would yall recomand for it, what is off set mean, im new to all this stuff and im in the learning proces, how much would those wheels be after tires and every thing else PLEAS I NEED SOME answers before i buy any wheels for my crx

NO. If you get 15" wheels for your car, you will need to get tire size 195/50-15. That tire size can only be mounted on wheels 5.5-7.0 inches wide. 15x8 wheels are too wide for your car.
If you get 15" wheels, there are lots of them available. You can get used sets of 15" wheels (15x6) from Integras ("fat fives", "blades", etc) without spending a lot of money.
There are lots of good tires in 195/50-15. If you don't need to use the tires in snow, you can get a longer-lasting summer tire with decent performance like the Yokohama S.drive. If you're autocrossing and you need a very sticky tire, you can get the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 or Toyo Proxes R1R.
