Strange wheel lock up after suspension work
2001 Prelude. H22 with F-series trans. Car was running when I put it in the garage a few weeks ago. Just got around to replacing the outer tie rod end links and replaced the transmission fluid with lucas transmission additive and 10w30. Now when I tried to test drive it, the front end rolls a little and then loads up and the passenger side tire just skids. It also does this when I have it in neutral and try to push it. The wheel/axle rotates fine if I jack the car up, axle is seated correctly in transmission, so I'm pretty sure it's not the clutch/axle/brakes. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Lucas transmission additive is for automatic and HD manual (like something that takes gear oil) transmissions.
Sounds like you ****ed up.

Yeah, they mean like truck manual transmissions. It's misleading, I know.
If you're looking for a good additive fluid, use AmsOil Synchromesh MTL. About $10 a quart at any AmsOil dealer.
Try flushing your trans with 10w30 motor oil, 5 minutes run time with the front end jacked up so the idle will spin the wheels. Drain, fill, repeat once more.

ok lucas will not cause this, yes its more of a heavy gear oil but it will NOT cause whis to happen. i have ran lucas in my beater civics tranny many times and it runs fine. I ran straight gear oil for a week once because thats all i had and it still ran perfect
and if you are talking about the lucas engine oil additive that is not a gear oil. lucas has a gear oil and a regular engine oil. the automatic lucas additive is also a seperate one.

what happens with front end off the ground and car running? is pass wheel still locked up? should be able to rule out brakes this way by site, feel.
The tie rod ends I put on must have been different length than the OEM ones. I didn't even think about it and just adjusted them to be the same number of threads in, went and looked at it and realized there's about 15 degrees of combined toe-out.
