Default DSS 5.9 Axle

I snapped the passenger inner knuckle and snapped the half shaft clean cut in a burn out box this weekend. Anyone had this issue happen before?

they took care of mine broke the inner but the old style 5.9s but spent more money on the caged inners no prob since

U got the old dss just pay the Exrta to upgrade

Talked to Lee at DSS today and he's cool people, got me a RA# quick. But yeah I have the old previous design so he asked to have them shipped to him for inspection and upgrade's made to the CV Joints. Are you guys using an OEM half shaft or DSS half shaft?

How much does it cost to upgrade to the "new" 5.9's? I have the old ones and want to upgrade. Do you just need to send back the axles?

Dss offers an aftermarket half shaft for the 5.9 system? Where can I find this?

And what exactly is the "upgrade"? do they send you new axles and you just give them the old ones? or do they modify your existing ones? what was the turn around time for you?

Turn around was fast less then week I told them I had a race
I payed extra shipping no they pretty
Much rebuild ur to the new style
At least that's what they told me
When I got them back they look likthey where brand
New not one scratch came with stickers and new nuts

Happened to me last year in Woodburn... in the burn out box, just like happened to you. Of all places, right there were it was slick. My guess is it was wounded from a previous launch and that's where it just happened to give up.

They have a new tapered shaft too that you can upgrade for $200.

Whats the benefit of the tapered shaft? and what is the hp rating on the new 5.9's?

I know the old 5.9s are rated for 850hp...Ill find out what the new ones are monday when I call agian.

Tapered shaft can handle more power. Plain and simple.

New is 1000hp
Old is 850hp
