Default Latest fab @ MAP

Hey everyone, my name is Chris and I'm one of the fabricators here at MAPerformance, along with a few others whose work you will also be seeing here in this thread. I've been a long time lurker outside of work in fabrication forums, and here in the honda-tech fab section as well, and we figured that we would let you guys see some of the awesome fab work we get to do that most people don't even know we do, and that most people never even get to see! Plus, who doesn't like looking through new fab pic threads

Mods: I am in NO WAY using this thread for any kind of marketing purposes, or to generate sales. The purpose of this thread is simply to share our work, and add to this already awesome fabrication section

We'll start with some honda love This customer originally came to us for engine assembly. We spec'd out, and assembled a beautiful longblock for him, and he decided he wanted a turbo kit to match!
- V-band schedule 10 ramhorn manifold
- PTE 46mm external gate
- 3" pie-cut stainless downpipe
- Stainless dump tube

This next manifold was built for an Evo that we had originally set our stock evo ecu horsepower record with. The setup on this car, mated up to one of our 2.4L's yielded us 814hp, and 622hp at 41psi
- Custom top-mount schedule 10 T3 manifold
- Twin Tial MVS wastegates (a second one was added after the pictures were taken)
- Stainless 3" downpipe
- PTE 6765 turbo

I wish I had taken more pictures of this car, but unfortunately these are the only ones I managed to grab I was a bit skeptical at first about how a 3.5" aluminum exhaust would sound on an SRT-4, but surprisingly when we fired this car up it sounded amazing! The aluminum gave it a nice, deeper than normal tone. The exhaust features twin vibrant aluminum mufflers to keep the noise down a bit, about 1.5 feet of stainless 3" downpipe off of the turbo, and a whooooole lot of aluminum tube. When all was said and done, we shaved off close to 40 pounds with the new aluminum exhaust!
- 3.5" 14 gauge aluminum piping
- V-band connections

This downpipe is probably one of the more interesting looking ones that I've made in the past. This customer came to us looking to replace the 2.5" POS he had on his turbo miata with a custom 3" piece. We grabbed an un-divided flanged for his t-28 powered beast and went to work

Some manifold collectors:

Parts:

Perfect fit!

Lastly, I'll give you guys a peek at our new Evo X OEM replacement manifold. Chopped, welded, and ported all in house

I'll state this again, I am in no way trying to generate sales with this thread. If you are interested in any of the services we offer, or would like to ask about pricing, there is a convenient private message feature that I'm fairly certain is built into this site

I hope you guys enjoy the eye candy! I'll be back posting up more pics and updating this thread as new stuff rolls in, and as cool stuff rolls out

Yeah, and that's a big problem!

Most of what we do is production fabrication for the evo/dsm platforms.

But we have turbo kits for the 92-00 honda civics. Other than that any honda stuff is custom.

I agree, I didn't like the watermarks at all after I saw them, but with way too much work into this post after the power went out yesterday (when I was almost finished with the whole thing!!!), I couldn't stand being on the computer much longer Future pics will be much better, I promise. If you look closely, that manifold wasn't quite finished. The whole thing was ported, and welds were finished. The latest ones look pretty fantastic, and I've much improved on the welding to doing a single pass with 1/16 rod, with full penetration and very nicely filled bevels. There's a polished one in the works as we speak, I'll get some pics up as soon as it's done

Thanks for all the replies and views guys! We're still hard at work in the fab shop, got a few new pics for everyone, and wanted you guys's opinion on the new surface finish for production manifolds. I wanna know what you guys like/don't like about it, opinions, anything you got. Lay it on me!

We're also getting started on the viper truck too. Some sexy collector cuts going into these 5-1's
