OT: Piston to valve clearance, thoughts on this before i clay the motor

Default OT: Piston to valve clearance, thoughts on this before i clay the motor

b20b bottom end, del sol head milled 30 thousandths and stock itr valves with toda spec b cams and valvetrain. stock oem b20 head gasket. you think there will be any clearance issues with this? gonna clay it but would like to know what i am getting into ahead of time. thanks.

hmmm
might have problems with the smaller valve reliefs in the b20 pistons.

yes, you may have issues only because you have those b20 pistons ... also make sure you test clay with both gears advanced to make up for cam retard.

oops, pistons are endyn rollerwaves 12:1 compresssion. will this make a difference? how far would i have to advance the gears to make up for the milling? isnt the ratio like 0.012 milled = 1 degree retard? so i would be starting off at like ~3 degree retarded correct?

If your block hasn't been decked(milled) at all and you head has been milled .030, you should be fine with the rollerwaves.
