what is this sideskirt and where can i buy it?
Either factory optional side skirts and rear valences, or a good copy of them.
You're only going to find them used. Check the classifieds.

I agree, they do look nice, I was interested in a set awhile back, but wasnt sure the best place to get them. There are replicas on ebay, but I'm not sure of the quality. Also curious what they came on, where they just a type R thing, or were they available on '98+ GSRs? Ive seen several pics on here of stockish GSRs with them.

Those are definitely not copies but the real OEM optionals. Just fyi, if you are looking to buy good used condition ones be prepared to toss out anywhere between $300-$500 for just the side skirts as that is the normal price they go for. Rear Aprons should be around the $300 range as well. I was lucky enough to find me a set (sides+rear) already in my color for $450 + ship
Those in the pic are OEM, you can tell a mile away. However, there are some good replicas out there, for a fraction of the cost.
I bought my OEM optional sides about 4 years ago for $400 shipped from a fellow member in Louisiana. I then drove to Maryland to pick up my OEM rear valences for $300 plus tolls/gas.
A good condition OEM lip kit will run you a pretty penny. But you get what you pay for and I wouldnt hesitate to purchase it.
Just make sure you keep them safe from thieves. The regular clips on the bottom and couple of screws on the ends arent going to do much when thieves have 5 minutes to take them out while you sleep. Make sure you rivet them on to prevent theft.
