SCCA Runoffs
Is anyone going to the Runoffs this weekend at Mid Ohio? I'll be there on Friday and Saturday. Does anyone know if NASCAR TV, sorry, I mean SPEED TV, is going to be covering any of this? I remember back in the glory days of Speedvision when I sat on my *** Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8am till 6pm watching every single Runoffs race live.
I congratulate SPEED on stretching a 3 day event into a month's worth of programming....
I guess NASCAR legends is much more of a priority than say LIVE racing..

Just put a footnote on the bottom of the screen for all the NASCAR fans,
"We interupt our regularly scheduled programming to bring you LIVE, less boring racing, with drivers in cars that actually resemble street cars"

I just don't get it. Why would you wait 7 weeks (at least) to air this? Most of the people who really love this racing will have seen the finishing orders and read the race notes by then. It's like this years World Challenge, I "watched" this season through reading the reviews. I think I got to actually see maybe 1 or 2 races. Your one of the main sponsors of a racing series and you don't show it live? Instead you show the race several weeks later (after everyone knows what happened) late on a Friday or Saturday night when I'm never going to be sitting at home!! Sorry, end rant...
