Safety equipment! A proper roll cage, helmet, etc is a good start

I'd get a helmet and hit the track first. No sense doing modifications that relate to an 8.50 car if it's running in the 13's.

Slicks would be my first item, after safety stuff. 22's seem to be a good start for most all motor guys just getting to the track.

endless performance should be good people to ask, since theyre in your sig.

look around the site and see what kind of "track car" you want to build.

but to start, buy a car, a helmet. Then go to a track and there you have it, a track car.

endless performance is just a name we came up for our crew. im just tired of the boring street racing i just lost a friend over that r.i.p. kyle. so i want to keep it on the track. when it comes to building a drag car just dont know where to start weve got a hatch now with a kswap k20a2. i know that weight reduction plays a huge role on the track so what should i get rid of to loose the weight

As stated above... Get a helmet, Some 13's with 22" slicks and take your car to the track. Get A LOT of seat time and numbers. Then once you decide what direction you want to go come back and we can further guide you. Keep things simple and have fun with this sport/hobby.... It's much more rewarding that way.

M&H, John hangs out on here and offers good support. He'll likely spot this as well.
