Default gsr cams vs sir2 cams????

Hey guys help me out real quick. i cant seem to find a good comparison between the 2nd gen b16a cams and the usdm b18c1 cams. i was trying to decide if its a good idea to through my sir2 cams into my gsr swap.

i believe duration is 240 sir2 and 230 gsr i couldnt find the lift and i dont exactly know what kinda a difference this will make. or how it correlates in comparison to compression or hp/tq gains.

and to add another question. I was wandering if since i had a p72 base map on my chipped p28 does it work to wire in my iab solenoid from 12v source to a17 pin (ecu ground) or do i need the special kit from xericon? some say just to wire it up and then other say its not possible without ecu mod. thanks in advance to the ones who know what their talking about.

You need to install the IAB mod on your P28 in order to control the butterflies. There is a mod for 12v out and another mod for GND.

Just to enlighten a few options in one thread. i figured out that plugging the vacuum hose on the iab actuator pump actually holds them open at all times. this might help in the high end range rather then everything closed up at 8g. And i was thinking (maybe stupidly) what if you hooked your wiring to close circuit with your vtec solenoid? would this work? wouldnt it then just open as long as your vtec is engaged?.......................................and so much for a CAM thread lol
