Default Oil Filter

What kind of oil filters do you guys use? Is there an OEM Honda/Acura one we're supposed to use? Or best replacement brand? How much $ for each? Best place to buy?

Did you need a filter wrench to remove it the first time? Or can you use the poke the screwdriver through it and twist method?

i had to for the 1st oil change i did on it 37,000 miles ago. i went to autozone and bought a wrech to fit the oil filter.

and you can pick up an oil filter or b series engines at honda if it's closer. the honda dealer is closer for me than acura so i just go there plus i get ones for my hatch too and one stop is much easier!

How often do you guys change your oil/oil filters?

Do you think it REALLY matters?

Let's find out. You keep using FRAM, and we'll keep using OEM/HAMP and we'll see who's engine looks better.

Why are people assuming I don't use OEM stuff?

I change oil so often that I really don't think it matters.

FWIW, I use HAMP filters (the smaller RSX-size ones).

I guarantee MY motor using FRAM filters will look better than yours.

Those of you that preach OEM obviously have never opened one up before.
