I want to stay with the transverse mounted muffler on my 91, and I'm getting ready to put the exhaust on it. I had a 40 series Flowmsaster on my first Civic (I didn't put it on) and the sound didn't really appeal to me. Plus, in my experience, the damn things weigh a ton.

What's a good muffler that sounds decent (I HATE that frickin' buzzy sound that you get with a lot of 'em) and not too bulky?

 

Also, not worried about anything with tips... I plan on having just two plain extensions coming out the back.

Are you looking for a cat-back, or just a muffler...either way, do a search...there are quite a few topics on this.

I personally here greddy is this shiz, my dc sounds alright, way to loud and high pitched though

I hear that the ES oval muffler is very nice. Stock looking but with much better flow.

Nah, it didn't but I loved the sound of it and 7000 rpm!

 

i have a 60 Series Flowmaster on my civic. with the setup (2.25inch without cat) sounds like sheit. which is why i got a cheap fart pipe on ebay. i hope it will sound better. i am also putting a cat on again. i think that will help alot.

 

I have a Dynomax Turbo II or something of that nature, sounds good when revs are about 2-3K and "supposedly" quoted from someone on here, "the Dynomax has better flow than the GReddy".

Anyone remember that thread?
