Default Clutch/Tranny Problems, Please Help

Here's the deal, driving on highway doing about 80, seems like clutch is slipping or disengaging, it's like a quick loss of power but only for a half a second then it comes back. It's like a jolt; no change in RPMs or anything. It almost feels like someone tapped the clutch pedal real quick. Also, on and off the clutch pedal has this pop in it, like you push and about 3/4 way in I feel like a bump or pop. Everything seems fine though.

It might also help to know that my 3rd gear synchro was replaced by the dealer about a month ago.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was experimenting the same problem, a brief hesitation during acceleration as if the wheel are going over something slippery...A few months after I started noticing this, the clutch gave out on me. I took out the clutch and the friction plate was kaput. The bump you are feeling when releasing the pedal is probably the relase bearing acting out.

Are you on the stock clutch ?

Entire drive train is stock. 20,000 miles on the car. The clutch itself still grabs great, no slippage.

Thing is the problem doesn't seem to be consistent, this morning under 40 mph no problems. Should the problem get worse with time? Or will something just fail? It's hard to go to the dealer and say you have a problem when they can't replicate the problem.

The clutch is probably on the "good side" but it is getting weacker. As I mentionned it took a few month for mine to finally gave out (and I was not gentle with it) but it did have 60000 mile on it.
Anyway you still have a few miles to run until the warranty expires so you should not worry about, if it fail it will probably be covered (hummm is the clutch covered under warranty???)

I think it will be covered considering it isn't the actually friction disc itself; assuming we are right on our guess.

My R is a pain in the ***. The clutch pops, the seat pops, ugh, but I still love her.
