Default Thinking about onstar for my Ek

Been doing some research on alarms that i know very little about. My car has an extremely high theft rate plus its yellow. I been thinking about getting on-star for it, i think its the only security system i would feel comfortable with that thieves aren't familiar with or can disable. I looked it up and it cost 200 bucks a year with the safe and sound plan plus alot of other features. Would you guys recommend me going this far?. Or should I just get a 2 way alarm with gps. I have thought about parking it at a local community college while im in class but i'd know id never be able to rest easy unless i had on-star.

Again i know little about alarms / security so what do you guys recommend thanks

on-star is only available built into gm vehicles. there is no aftermarket on-star kit.

thanks for your response i been looking at alarms but I'm not sure what most of the features mean, still new to this. Can you recommend the best alarm for my situation? I was looking at some of the Cliffords but thieves can still bypass those if they really wanted to ehh?
