Clutch cable problem
So i have a 91 civic with a boosted zc, running a ACT Clutch Kit Xtreme/Race Sprung 6 Pad Disc... Anyways I ran a bully for a couple years and always had a decent amount of adjustments on the cable.. Since i put the act in I had to adjust it all the way to get even a little bit of clutch, now I cant even put it in any gear if im just sitting there... Ive changed cables and now dont know what else to do, looks like the counter weight is missing off this tranny but would it really make that much of a difference?? Just wondering whats going on and if anyone else has had this problem and how have they resolved this??
Take a look at the bracket just above the actuating arm, I had an extreme pressure plate in my car for years and it slowly did this:

It's not something you wouldn't notice by looking directly from the top. When I'd notice that I was developing a grind on a shift I'd adjust the cable to be tighter and the grind would go away. Eventually it got to the point where I finally couldn't go any further so I had to leave it as is and soon after I couldn't get the car into gear without grinding (if it all). On the pedal side it eventually broke the shaft the clutch pedal pivots on too.

Yup i can, ive been putting it in gear when its off and starting it to take off... Makes for an interesting drive in rush hour traffic...
Never checked the assembly over but seemed fine when i changed the cable.. Wasnt really looking for any problems there though

It's worth a look, right before my car was at it's worst with the cable fully adjusted as tight as possible I'd be able to get it in first just barely but the car would already be slightly wanting to move forward because the clutch was engaging even with the pedal fully depressed. When I looked down at the pedal it was just slightly at an angle (sort of facing left), hardly even noticeable. When I looked underneath the dash I could clearly see the pedal was broken and that was what had been preventing the cable from being able to fully function.

Check your pedal under the dash my buddy had a h22 crx with a upgraded pressure plate and it broke the pedal underneath it and was doing the same thing its very common they are pretty weak
how old is the clutch?
I was adjusting my cable every now and then til I didnt have a clutch left. Actually a spring on the disc blew out. Refused to go in gear when running, but "shifted" fine when the car was off.

Not sure why, but when I did my 5-speed conversion, I had the same issue. I ended up making a spacer from some 1" steel tube, and have been using it for over 4 years. See the pictures below. The slit allows the cable to slide through, and the notch at the top is a little bit wider and allows the rubber part of the cable to sit down in the groove. I said I was going to weld it to the bracket, but still haven't after 4 years - it works fine like it is.
