i have a 95 civic hatch stock everything brake wise and today on a cruise my front brakes were locked on not fully on but if i was to let off the gas my brakes would stop me without me putting on the brakes, i took out some fluid from the master cylinder and that seemed to help but the same thing keeps happening any help is greatly appreciated a guy on the cruise that helped me told me it happened to his hatch too but he did have a way of fixing the problem.
dont remove fluid. Take the calipers apart and sand/polish the slide pins with high grit paper and emery cloth. then grease it with hi temp brake grease and reassemble.
dont just remove fluid from the master cylinder, it wont don anything other than possibly get air in your brake system them you will have o bleed it. i would suggest making sure that the caliper slides are not stuck. pull the wheel off and shove the caliper back and forth and make sure it will move on the slides a little. if its stuck in one spot take it apart and lube all the slides contact areas. if not suspect faulty calipers, or brake hoses. if you decide to replace the calipers make sure to do the hoses with them it just costs a little extra for some peice of mind and you are right there anyway
