you want a k series if you can afford it.
this thing is awsome

if the k series is out of your price range do a b series...they are also a very good platform that can be highly modified.
stay away from d series.

D is SOHC
B/K is DOHC
B comes in 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 and 2.0 liter variants.
K comes in 2.0 and 2.4 liter variants.
If money isn't an issue, and going by your lack of knowledge of honda motors, grab yourself a k24 from an acura tsx.

The thing is I want to have it built up I'm was looking to do around 350 with turbo on the b series but if a k series is better I can go that way but I need to know what kinda of internals would get me a strong running k series that can still be ran on the street like what kinda of pistons and cams lifters header and stuff like that thanks all

This is flat out not the best website to rely on peoples thoughts and opinions. Some people know what they are talking about and others dont. If you don't know much about the b-series, and k-series honda engines; in short the k series is like the b series big brother. The k was developed for the 4th gen integra(for americans, the acura rsx). In japan it was the dc5 integra type r. The k-series is in short more advanced and the flaws of the b series were taken into account when it was designed. Both the k-series and b-series are great motors, but bottom line if money is not an issue go with a built k24. 2.4 liter monster. Stay away from d-series. They are an economy motor and have been around as long as the b-series and some people have successfully built them but if you have money to blow get a k-series.
Your engine choice will be a little different for a mini than your typical civic. First of all, they only weigh 1200-1500lbs. And second, they come stock with 19" tall tires and the suspension is not designed for much larger wheels.
If you don't mind extending the nose, going to 13"+ wheels, switching to coilovers, running huge flares, and lots of other mods to accomodate k series power, then thats the way to go. If your looking for a more conservative approach then d or b series will be a better option. Having driven a few 100+hp minis I will say that not much more is needed really. Im personally going for a d series in my mini for space, weight and styling reasons.
Id advise that do alot of research before making a decision. Check out vtecminis.com and 16vminiclub.com if you haven't already.

I looked into the mini with a honda engine and I would stick with what Furyof4 said but if you have money to blow and want an expensive build go with a k series motor. I dont know if you have thought about it but I was considering a built b series with a supercharger for the power delivery and space over a turbo system in a mini with the power to weight ratio.
Just my thought good luck and post how it turns out.

Yeah fury is right you do have to make everything wider and long not into all that but I was also wondering if any one had any b16B series built up if they would share the specs in side and out in private message like what pistons cams rods barrings and hp and torgue you getting from your engine also any thing in cars at shows that u realy look for and stands out like paint, interoir, rims any thing just want my mind to wonder and build a little beast of a show and racing mini.
Also if any people out there have minis tell me awd or fwd or rwd what would be the best and why any one can really help.
Also does any one know a good parts website for honda parts, and airride

I think you should definitely post some pics of the car in progress and once it gets done, I'm sure there would be a lot of enthusiasm on here.
No love for H-series engines?
Good luck with the car, man!

Are you serious? Why don't you take some time and do some research for yourself. With all of the information on this site, and the other two sites that someone posted before, I'm sure a majority of your questions will be answered. I'm not saying I'm perfect either, but I do try to at least be somewhat knowledgeable on the topic, especially if I was going to put all of this time and money into something like this. Just my 2 cents
