We have 75,000 miles on our EX and I just noticed this:






From what I can put together, and anyone please feel free to correct me, this is the mating of the starter to the clutch housing:






What could be leaking from within?? Or is this spill from one of the service shop oil changes? I thought I had a decent understanding but this has got me puzzled.

I would suspect oil spilled from an oil change. It doesn't look like fresh oil. Just wipe it clean with some paper towel and check again at a later time.

 

Also, from the picture where the oil is, that appears to be only on the starter.
