Default Cracked oil pan?

I was driving my crx and i drove over a man whole and bottomed out on it. I stopped and immediately shut off the car and got out and looked. Sure enough all my oil was pouring out all over the ground.

My question is can you remove the oil pan without removing the engine?
And Also how do i go about acquiring a b16 oil pan and how much is it gonna run me?

Thanks to anyone who can help.
Ryan

yes you can remove the oil pan without removing the engine. you just have to get the exhaust out of the way. price will vary but should be able to get one fairly cheap.

if I were you I would contact your city and ask for reimbursement. In washington if you hit something on the road then it is the cities fault. Like if you hit a manhole or a pothole and damage your car then it is the city being negligent.

Unless your car is lowered, then chances are they will say it was a result of that.

If it's a b16a3, the oil pan is 77 bucks from autozone, but a stock replacement first-gen b16a oil pan might be harder to come by (if they are even different). As for the city paying for it, depending on the city, they could care less about lowered cars damaging their under carriage on a manhole that was more than likely sticking up less than 4 inches lol. I have a first gen b16a, and my headers practically knock off reflectors on the road when I change lanes, and I'm only lowered two inches.
