Leo G/LGWERKZ Shootout thanks and apologies
Ill try to keep it short
I would like to thank Jake, for putting a great shootout for us and being just a great guy to work with. Import racing is definately not dead in the East Coast!
Ben @ Blueprint Racing for making things happen on the car. This guy hustled to try to get me out there. Much appreciated.
John @ Frana Vehicles for overnighting parts I needed for the Dog Box. Just great customer service and always backing up his product.
Tom @ Portflow The Name says it all. He is always willing to stay late and even work on weekends to get my **** done.
Jeremy @ Drag Cartel He stepped up and took care of me when Ferrea gave me there back. Love this guys passion for the sport.
Mike @ K-tuned for making great products. They are always raising the bar and swapping to a K is much easier cause of them.
All the Gals @ Web Cam They pulled the impossible to get my cams ready for the event.
All my friend and Families who helped me out on this trip. You know who you are. All the West Coast guys that went out there. Jeff, TB, Speedfactory and Jerry. I hope it can be more next year.
I want to apologize to the West Coast. I know a lot of people thought this was going to be the car. But we had one problem after another.
First qualifying run- Horrible 60ft and alternator belt came off and grabbed the Crank Sensor. (thanks k-tuned for the help)
Second qualifying run- Horrible 60ft and shifting slow into third, but still made a 10.66 pass @ 130xx.
Third qualifying run- we still could not figure out the track.
This track was hooking. My car is not set up for good tracks. lol
We came back to the pits did a compression and leak down test to the engine and found a blown head gasket, so we stood and installed the back up motor.
First round elimination We broke the transmission. literally we broke the case in half. This time we had a decent 60ft @ 1.61. lol
We still installed the back up tranny for fun runs but the track would not allow us. This pretty much sums it up.
I did not get much time to mingle with the racers. I was able to meet Tim and Pepsi. Had a short conversation and that was it. Great individuals I must say.
This is racing and **** happens. Were going to work out the bugs and Finally build the big engine for next year. If all goes well Ill be there next year ready for u Jersey Boys.
