Our First Trip to the East
First off we want to thank everyone that made it possible for us to get the Shootout.
Speedfactory - Without you guys this trip was only a dream. You guys helped us out in every way possible and even transported our car. Greatest shop in the Northwest, maybe even the country
Jeremy, Drag Cartel - Thanks for putting up with us on the phone late at night and getting us all the parts as quick as you did.
Stefan, ASP - Thanks for the last minute header build and all the help over the years. It turned out great and made amazing power. You have always helped us out when needed.
Golden Eagle - Best sleeved blocks around, great turnaround time and we have never had one trouble with a block.
Kinsler - Best ITB's out on the market, you can tell because half the all motor class was running them
All of our friends and family that have supported us this year. It has been a tough year.
This race is the greatest race we have ever attended. Everyone from the racers, to spectators, event staff, and track staff were awesome. The event seemed to go really smooth and the track staff did there best with all the oil downs.
The east coast racers that we got a chance to meet were all super friendly and a great bunch of guys, we didn't get a chance to talk to everyone I wish we would have. Thanks Jake for taking the time to put on such a great event and giving us all place to come race, you had your work cut out for you but you pulled it off and were still able to race your own car, hopefully we can both get our transmission issues fixed over the winter.
Tim it was great to meet you too, you got me on the tree this time but next year hopefully we can get a rematch, we will have at least 3 pieces of tape on the car for sure
. It was also cool to see so many west coast racers make the trek out there too, Jeff, Cloyse, TB, Jerry, Leo. I was glad to see at least one of us made it to the finals.
The track prep on both days was amazing, way better than any other track we have ever been to here on the west coast. The track was so good our car bogged hard off the line the first pass out, I guess we should have listened to Jerry when he told us we would need to raise the launch limiter. Once we got that figured out we were able to run our new best and get us the #3 qualifying spot with a 10.52@130.7.
On Sunday our first run out against Luke he jumped the gun and red lit, but fortunately for us we broke the 4th gear on that run so we had to go back and swap to a stock tranny before our next round with Tim. The race against Tim was a great race, he cut a really good light and got me but only won by .036, neither of us knew who won until we got our time slips. That ended our racing weekend.
It was great to get to go out to dinner with the whole NRG Tech crew Sunday night. They truly are a cool bunch of guys who are crazy for paying that bill haha. We can't wait until next year.

Once the trailer ever shows up with the cars we should be able to get a few more videos up.

Now we both just need to fix those transmissions lol . .

You guys aren't getting off so easy next time DOH! That .52 wouldn't have covered it. Glad you guys made it home safe and it was good seeing you guys in person. Best of luck.
