Default How do you remove/disable a JDM p30 knock board?

I think I may have messed up some resistors in my JDM p30 by mistaking r17 and r18, for rp17 and rp18. so now I figure i'll just disable the knock sensor. I want to remove the whole knock board as I have no use for it with a stock motor and no plans to build it up. What else is needed besides desoldering the ribbon that holds the knock board? Has anyone ever done this successfully by just removing the knock board completely?

You will need to install a ROM that has knock disabled.

^ that seems to be the easiest way to go...my knock sensor just went out and I've been looking for methods of bypass and so far that^ and buying piezo transducers from radio shack and taping them to your fuel rails are the only ways to go....

I'm not down for taping **** to my fuel rail lol.
