Default Did the oil filter part #'s change?

When I lookup our vehicles on Baranco's website it shows two filters for ITR's

1) 15400-POH-305
2) 15400-PR3-004

It was always my recollection that the part #'s were

1)15400-PLM-A01
2)15400-PLM-A02

Anyone know what's up?

the plm filters are the newer style ones the small ones, the poh pr3 are the old school big ones, similar to the s2000 filters.

Ahh, I see. Any evidence to show the older filters are of a higher quality than the newer ones.

I'm aware A01>A02's, but how do the POH and PR3 filters stack up (if they're even still available)?

Yes, the ROKI filters have been discontinued.

Anyone still use S2K filters for "increased" oil pressure

What is the recommended OEM Honda oil filter for the ITR now? Try to find the 15400-PLM-A01 or something different?

I had a case of Purolator PureOnes that I've almost used up (old larger style). Going back to OEM Honda for this next round, and if the 15400-PLM-A01 works good, then that'll also work for my CRV and Ridgeline.

ALL of those part numbers will super secede to whats on hand at that store/parts warehouse.

I've started using the S2K filters based on some previous topics here. I haven't noticed any differences since doing so.

s2000 filters don't really increase any pressure if any since its a similar design to the old honda filters it just depends where its made, might have better filter martial. the newer design on the other hand do in fact increase oil pressure due to their smaller design.

I doubt you will receive the A01 when you place a order from a online Honda retailer. Buy a decent filter like a P1, Royal Purple, Mobil 1. Kind of pricey, but I will never buy a OEM filter again. There are better alternatives out there.

The "increased" pressure from a s2k filter has been discussed in this forum before. It is all a marketing thing.

You're welcome to your opinion, but most knowledgeable people would disagree. In my experience, the OEM filter is better than most aftermarket filters, and you're not going to get any benefit by spending more money for an aftermarket filter. I would not buy an aftermarket oil filter for my ITR.

how do you figure? it is the same filter used through out the same platforms. it is not a long drain filter. and most of these guys on here drain there $6 - 7 quart synthetics in 3,000 miles.

it's not just the oil, it's also how much the engine has that effects drain time. diesels that go 30k between changes also often have 20 quart oil capacities and operate at half the rpm of a gasoline engine
