? for you suspension Guru's
Okay so my wife has decided that she wants her car lowered but doesnt like the way my k sport one pieces ride say they are to stiff i think they are great... but i come to these two setups that i wanna ride
Tokico Illuminas with Tein s tech or Koni yellows with GC coilovers
i like the tokico setup for the price but the koni yellow set up for the reviews i want something that will last an ride as close a possible to stock will the tokicos hold up to the pot holes im sure she going to hit or should i just drop the dought for the koni's

Koni/Eibach...I've put over 400,000 miles of track and north East driving on that combo.
I had the koni dampers rebuilt a couple of times - around 100K miles - and each time could barely sense a difference.

How low does she want to go. If its not real low then id say go for a lighter spring rate ground control and konis set on soft. should be a decent ride and if its not real low it shouldnt have a problem controlling the car on bumps and rough roads. the lighter spring rate will help with the softer ride and going soft on the konis will keep the ride from getting to stiff.
other than that i would say a progressive spring setup on either the konis or the illuminas. that should be decent for the ride quality as well.
Just remember the lower you go the stiffer it needs to be and the rougher the ride will get regardless of the setup that you have.

I promise the koni's will be worth the extra money. THmotorsports on here sells them for the cheapest.
Also, if your girlfriend wants a "close to OE" ride. There's nothing wrong with some low end performance shocks like KYB or koni reds, paired with some Tein S.Tech or Tein H.tech. Or even some neuspeed sport.
A mild drop is really probably best suited to a mild sport shock. The koni red/orange are very affordable and certainly better suited to a softer spring rate.

S. Techs are a good product but wont give you the drop she's looking for. I would go with Tokicos and some OTS ground controls
or like I mentioned, the Progress CS-II with the 350/250 rates should be pretty comfortable on the street and you can get the height exactly where she wants it.
Given that she's a girl, get an adjustable height setup either way. It will be better for you in the end.

if ride is a concern you probably don't want ground controls and don't want to go any lower than an s tech at the lowest. the koni str.t and sportline, stech or htech would be a good match. the sports are better shocks but aren't needed unless you get rates up past the point of the above springs. the str.t just saves you 150 bucks. progressive springs will always be more comfortable than linear
