Default More ECHC Lowe's vids

Here are some more clips from Catch 22's in-car:

Giles-Brinson melee
Brinson gets by on the oval, but Scott pulls out an awesome pass on the next lap going into the in field. Nice driving!
SIZE: 7.3MB

Wolfpacking on the oval
James Evans (H4 CRX), Todd Reid (H1 Civic hatch), and Scott, with Brinson in tow, running nose to tail on the oval.
SIZE: 3.7MB

Both are QuickTime4.

good vids!!!

just a question; anyone have a vid of Sunday's start? Seems like usually someone has a vid of the start of the races....

I just want to see Jacks car steaming away from me one last time (at least until it is being driven by JohnW...).

Todd#11 H1 Honda Civic DX-LS

PS I had the best standing start ever on Sunday; gentle wheelspin and good hookup and good gearchanges.....

Those are great vids. Thanks for posting them, SPiFFster.

The banking on the NASCAR turns looks INSANE.

Wow! Scotty is looking pretty authoritative in those vids! Or is it just that nobody could see him in the dark?

There are two Scottys.

The Scotty who wants to win.
The Scotty who wants to win really bad.

Funny thing is that there seems to be two Brinsons as well .

VIR will be fun.

A couple of thoughts...
1. I really blew infield turn 3 in the long video. Blake and Brinson walked away from me.
2. You can REALLY make up alot of ground if you don't lift in NASCAR 3 .

and

3. It's too bad there isn't any serious racing going on in the ECHC .

thought # 4.

the draft is MASSIVE when you are behind 2 cars. your slingshot coming down toward the start finish line was awesome.

I had it floored the whole way, but felt like the car really slowed down when I pulled out to pass the CRX. you were smart and stayed in the draft until the last minute and then had an awesome slingshot move..

bravo!

Bleh. Good videos. The first one really reinforces what I already know. I have to figure out how to use slower traffic to my advantage. It really is a huge leap going from the driver school mentality to racing. I should have kept my foot completely in it, gone underneath James on the banking and then blocked Giles low when exiting the banking. But I left the door wide open and Scott stepped right through.

I have a lot to learn about racing. But the Saturday race at VIR is do or die for me as far as the points race. I may be running on worn out Kumho's due to the lack of job situation, but I plan to bring out the A game. Should be fun as always!

That Draft thing... You mean like Brinson and I did to you on the last lap ?

Heh... You said "slingshot."
I knew what it was, and was actually doing it on purpose, but I wasn't going to date myself back to the Bobby Allison days by actually using that term .

Franza, see "West Coast Honda Challenge" thread.

Don't be hard on yourself. Making the right decision at those speeds is pretty tough. Check out the stupid move I tried to make under Blake right after you passed me. I had to get COMPLETELY out of the gas as a result of that boneheaded idea.

VIR will be fun to be sure.
