Default dpfi engine question

alright so i did some checkin out the car today. it seems to idle really low. it is a dpfi. so i pulled out spark wire Dizzy #1 #2 #3 #4 cam 4 and it ran the same. put back in 4. and removed 3. and it ran the same. no changes but with 1 or 2 out it bogged all the way down and almost died. what could this be? is this normal on dpfi? is it a head probably or bottom end. im wanting to reuse the bottom end i hope its not. and white smoke out the exhaust is from a bad hg right??? lmk guys

Try swapping in a known good distributor.

Yes white smoke is a bad hg most commonly. Check your plugs(ngk only). Otherwise compression test. your block will be fine...if u overheated it can weaken the rings

nope car never over heated the entire way here. 90 miles. so most likely the head is just trashed on the car?

it would miss and run kinda bad, yeah the idle would change, i think buddy above is on the right track with the iacv, it may very well be clogged up.

also is the oil milky at all, do you have any pressure building in the coolant system, (other than whats normal) those are signs of a blown hg also. if its smokin white i would start there or maybe you could have some water in the gas tank
