So I'm planning to get some Megan Racing seats for my 1997 civic coupe. I've got the harness bar, and the 4 point seat belts worked out, I just need some seat brackets that will fit.. Megan Racing only sells seat brackets for 92-95 civic, which i know won't fit cuz i have eg seats in my car and to get them to work i had to swap the seat rails from my old ek seats to the eg seats.


Any suggestions on some seat brackets that will guaranteed fit? I've looked on ebay but they all say 92-00 civic compatibility for the seat brackets and i know the seat railings are different (from 5th gen to 6th gen brackets) so I don't wanna purchase the wrong railing. I also don't wanna spend $200 on super nice brackets, but lemme know what my options are.

just use brackets you have and modify them

 

Everyone says the stock ones don't work, don't know how much hacking/modifying I'd have to do... There's gotta be a bolt-in bracket I can get?

 

if you have a welder some flat bar and grinder you are good to go

 

buy some universal ones off ebay then drill them to fit your seats. Thats what I did and it worked fantastic. You have the sliders too correct?

 

ya that's what i ended up doing. should work i took measurements and went from there. Gotta look around tho, cuz some of the universal seat brackets they say fit the civic 92-00 and it's not even close cuz the brackets are side mounted...
