need help... wife just bought a 89 honda civic hb si... head has been rebuilt but when going round the coner with the car placing it into second gear the motor stutter or hesitates at 3000rpm but when out of gear it revs fine...... anybody know whats causing the problem?

if problem is solve willing to give $20 reward for the right answer that solves the issue

 

might be the distributor. try to change the ignitor in the distributor and that should fix ur prob

 

have brand new dizzy in it....

no engine light... new dizzy.. tuned up... brand new ported n polished head, all new gaskets, head has been rebuilt..... all wire pluged in fine.... but when rev with out load it revs fine... when shifting into second gear it stutters at 300 rpm n then around 4500 it stops stuttering. but does it for every gear except first.

 

What was included in that tune-up? -Later, BR

 

wires, plugs, bought whole new dissy..... and timing checked.

 

hmmmm maybe tps? ecu? bad ground fuel filter/pump. could be a number of things

 

Could be a lazy oxygen sensor. If thats never been replaced i'd get a new one. -Later, BR

 

new tps, new fuel filter, new ecu, but havent replaced the o2 sensor yet......

replace the o2 sensor and still having it stutter when pressing full throttle

 

Define this stutter? Like a miss fire stutter?
