Default Most hp or most parts with out getting it tuned

i understand tuning is very important i've have a couple turbo hondas before. How ever i just swapped in a b16 in my car and dont want to turbo it just yet so i just want to add a few boltons to make some power but i'm new to all motor i'm not sure on what parts are good and make decent gains and what is the max on hp or max mod i can make with out a tune. I plan on getting a skunk 2 or blox header along with a cold air intake and a full exhaust and probually an msd blaster coil just for a little extra spark. What else would help make a difference with out have to get tuned. intake manifold, cams, will i need bigger injectors, any ideas would be great not trying to go nuts just make it a little better to drive untill i can go nuts and turbo it again lol.

Try reading the dyno threads that are stickied at the top of this forum in the FAQ section.

The question you're asking, put another way, metaphorically speaking would be "how many bullet wounds can someone take without giving them a blood transfusion and they'll still live?"

....?

Some would make the argument that a tune should be your first mod...

If you're going turbo later, you're going to need some kind of engine management for that anyway, so I would say put something in now and then you can always get it re-tuned when you go FI.

This is why you get all the parts together first install them then tune once

ECU first with base map buy parts and fit them 2nd then tune,I have some guys that just come to the dyno for 1hr tuning sessions as they fit parts as some like to see what power each part makes in power, alot of time they go away unhappy as they need other parts to make that one work correctly to get the best result out of it.

i made 135 whp on my dyno before tuning began 187 whp after tuning was over. If u do more than intake header and exhaust u need a tune.

hondata and Redzone Performance on the tune ftw

If you are going boost later, it would be kind of a waste of time and money to buy things like an intake, a header, and some n/a cams. These are the things you need to make power in a n/a setup but a turbo setup doesnt use any of those things... if you are going to boost later just save your money, buy some Injectors, fpr, fuel pump, and a mangement system. Then slap that turbo on...
