Default RHD eg6 b16 into a LHD eg6

hey guys, i have a right hand drive EG6 with a JDM b16a in it. Me and a buddy are going to be pulling the b16 from it and putting it into a 94 Civic coupe, Left hand drive which currently has a D16z6 in it.

The RHD still has everything working on it, it runs perfectly fine. Just wondering, do we have EVERYTHING needed to swap it into the left hand drive ? Im just wondering if the differences of one being RHD and one being LHD is going to give us some issues. Also, would the D16z6 harness thats on the motor in the Coupe right now work on the b16?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

If you use the stock B16 P30 you will need to wire in the knock sensor (1 wire)

Correct, also use the lower torque mounts from the same.

Yes, well we'll be taking all the mounts, axles, shiftlinkage, everything else needed from the EG and swapping it all over to the 94 coupe.

Ive got everything figured out, im just worried about how everythings gonna connect back up becuase of the motor coming from a RHD and now going into a LHD.

Anyone know if we'd be able to use the harness off the LHD d16 thats in their right now and use it on the b16?

Engine and transmission are no different between RHD and LHD, only difference is stuff like wiring harness, A/C and P/S lines and the throttle cable.

Absolutely. Like I said earlier you will need to wire in the knock sensor and you will have to extend the O2 sensor wiring and probably the IAT wiring.

1) Yeah i knew engine and transmission were the same, just wasnt sure how things were gonna hook back up in the LHD, because things like the brake booster, battery, etc etc are all on the opposite side.

2) Thats good to know. So thers no way we can use the RHD engine harness? We'll probably just use the LHD harness from the d16 on the b16 motor.

Thanks alot man, your a ton of help.

You wont have any issues in that regard.

Not really no. You pretty much have to use the LHD harness, but it basically just fits right on, like I said there are some very minor modifications to be done, but remember, they are minor.

remember to use the old fuel rail from the single cam, and re use the injector clips from the b16 harness if the ones from the single dont fit. (idk if the clips are the same or not)

B and D-series fuel rails are diffenent, Z6 and B16 injectors are identical and so are the injector clips. What you're saying makes no sense.

Alright man, perfect.

Ive kinda done this before already, we swapped out my buddys d16y8 in his 98 coupe for a B16 from a 2000. The harness on the b16 was f'ed so we used the harness from his d16. Kindof a similar situation we are in right now, but i think it'll be a little bit easier.

Basically, in the end, we've got all the plug ends to be able to run the b16 motor, so whatever is different on the d16 harness we just cut off and take whatever we need from the b16 harness and sauder it onto the D harness.

Thanks alot. Usually you get alot of ******** on here with rude replies haha. Do they have Rep on honda-tech? Id give you some if i knew how lol.

Right right, i forgot about the injector clips. We'll probably haveto swap those around from the b16 harness onto the d16 harness.
